    "Detonation & Resonance"
    Première exposition personnelle d’Etienne de Fleurieu

    Né à Athènes en 1977 et résidant aujourd'hui à Bruxelles, Etienne de Fleurieu est diplomé de l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris où il fut élève de Giuseppe Penone.

    Ses grandes "Shotgun Symphony" réalisées sur papier canson 330 gr blanc illustrent de vastes champs musicaux ponctués sans fréquence régulière ou ordre établi de centaines de perforations dont certaines présentent encore sur leurs crêtes les oxydations vertes des billes de plomb tirées au fusil de chasse.

    Les détonations des coups de feu sont presque encore audibles tandis que le spectateur découvre la multitude de notes de musique tracées par l'artiste à l'encre noire à partir de chaque perforation. Se sentir transporté ou transpercé, ressentir la partition nuageuse ou la douce violence des lointains coups de feu. Les lectures sont doubles. L'oeuvre se découvre en plusieurs temps : éloignée, elle semble être une surface lunaire avec ses reliefs et cavités dus aux zones d'ombre créées par les concentrations des notes de musique.
